Citihub helps Aon cut costs and save the environment
London (Dec 18, 2009) - Aon, a leading global risk and insurance firm, together with Citihub has implemented an IT infrastructure change program that has helped deliver a rare combination of improved functionality, cost savings, and environmental benefits.
The program involved the smooth installation and integration of new Canon Multifunctional Devices (MFD) across its UK operations. The primary objectives were to decrease the printer to employee ratio without compromising demand or causing business interruption and with a view to reduce operational cost and cut the company’s carbon footprint.
The program has achieved more than its desired goals. It boasts:
- 85% decrease in the printer to employee ratio
- 30% in cost saving
- Up to 65 tons reduction of CO2 emission
- 30% decrease paper usage

Due to the huge success of the program, Aon is looking to implement it across the EMEA region with the help of Citihub.
